With their Whitworth tie finally done and dusted, RIPON CITY boss Charlie Brown has now fixed his gaze on winning another cup soap opera tomorrow at Featherstone Colliery (1.30pm ko).
The proposed trip to West Yorkshire in the third round of the League Cup will keep City’s hopes of lifting three pieces of silverware alive.
The Mallorie Parkers are still in with a chance of winning the Charity Cup when they eventually replay their postponed clash against Boroughbridge.
After Saturday’s 3-1 Whitworth Cup victory over Harrogate Town Reserves they also remain on course for a final showdown to be played at Wetherby Road.
Brown is keeping one eye on tomorrow’s forecast before their long trip and revealed the fixture could be switched to Mallorie if the Colliery pitch is unplayable.
“Mallorie Park is available on Saturday, there’s no game on there so it could take place there.
“We’ll just see if their park is playable,” said Brown.
“We want to get this tie on”
