Ripon City’s First XI welcomed Otley Town to Mallorie Park, where both teams came out of the fixture with one point a piece. Ripon dominated the early stages of the game, but just couldnt put it away in the final 3rd. A momentary lack of concentration let Otley Town float a cross in, which the Otley Town striker duly convereted – their first real clear cut chance of the game.

Again Ripon worked hard in the second half, and after two fantastic opportunities that fell to Ben Clayton & Tim Edney were fantastically saved – or missed; it just didnt seem to be Ripon’s day until with one of the last kicks of the game, Dan Clayton’s free-kick crept in at the back door and nestled in the bottom corner of the net, allowing Ripon to get something out of the game.

Ripon welcome Knaresborough Celtic to Mallorie Park for their replayed Whiteworth Cup clash. Kick-off has been moved to 6pm, due to the need of extra-time and penalties if required.
