Good evening all,
It has been a number of weeks since I last provided an update but they do say good things come to those who wait!
And we have some extremely great news to share with you......
We can confirm that Ripon City AFC are now the proud owners of all of the land at our Mallorie Park site.
As some of you may know, we did not own the whole site and only held part of it on a long lost lease. Unfortunately the lack of ownership coupled with the length of the remaining lease was one of the stumbling blocks of being able to develop the Club further, particularly in obtaining grants/funding, so this news is fantastic.
The club would like to thank our Treasurer Gary Camplejohn for all his hard work over the past few months in researching and organising the deal. The club would also like to thank Nick White at Eccles Heddon solicitors who provided valuable advice and executed the transfer.
We would also like to thank all of you reading this, whether you're a player, a sponsor or a spectator as without you this couldn't have happened. If you have sponsored us, attended an event or even just bought a drink on match days then you have contributed to this huge milestone, as without that interaction we would not have been in the financial position to complete the deal.
This milestone is just one small part of the work that our team of volunteers have been doing off the field to stabilise, improve and secure the Clubs future for generations to come.
I hope you will all agree that the work we have done on the facilities over the last 2 years looks great but we cannot rest easy. It is extremely important that you continue to support us as we still have a long way to go with our objectives and ambitions.
Please come to an event, come down to support one of the teams and pop in to buy a drink as it makes a huge difference to us. I cannot stress enough the importance of your support.
We are still in need of volunteers for a wide variety of tasks so if you're interested please get in touch.
We look forward to seeing you down at Mallorie Park soon.
