The Ladies travelled to Dewsbury for their first away game of the campaign. A game they fully expected to win but still had to approach professionally.
On a small and scruffy pitch it took a while for the ladies to create any real chances despite dominating possession and the midfield areas.
Once the deadlock was broken via. Lizzie Weatherill goal the result never looked in doubt. Despite the ladies being in complete control of the game half time saw them lead only by the one goal.
The second half saw the ladies become a bit more clinical in front of goal with Georgie Taylor adding a second before Lizzie Weatherill doubled her tally for the day. Demi Sloan-Mason made it 4-0 scoring directly from a corner before Ruth Robertson bravely charged down an attempted clearance from the Dewsbury goalkeeper which rebounded in to the goal to make it 5-0. Debutant Liv Gillam finished off the scoring to make it 6-0
Manager Mal Bethell was pleased with the dominant display from the ladies.
"The Ladies controlled the game well today and looked very comfortable in possession throughout the side. The defence was never really troubled but remained focused throughout. Player of the day Lauren Howard was fantastic in midfield. The only slight concern was the chances that went to waste, which against better sides could cost us points"
